Our sacred mission

This institution exists to preserve, for future generations, the greatness, the questionable decisions, the historic moments and the entirely unnecessary arguments of the most-listened-to fantasy football podcast in the world.

It began in 2014 on a lunch break, in a game studio in Scottsdale, Arizona, when two colleagues turned on a microphone to trash-talk their office league. The Committee considers this the founding of a civilization.

Enshrined Members

The highest honor this institution can bestow. Enshrinement is permanent, unanimous, and, in the case of the inaugural class, self-administered.

Jason Moore

Co-founder, co-host, and Chair of the Selection Committee

Mr. Moore joined the podcast in 2015, after two flat public episodes, and insisted the show be reworked before it went any further. The Committee regards this as the decisive act in the institution's history. He was, at the time, co-owner of the game studio where the show was born, and the boss of the man now housed in the secondary exhibit.

His 2017 finish of third in FantasyPros draft accuracy remains the best by any host. He handles the advertising. He has been nominated for Show Moment of the Year for going missing, for being repeatedly sniped, and for dressing as Cam Skattebo.

Candidate Under Review

The Committee acknowledges the following individual's eligibility and looks forward to reviewing his file at a future date.

Future Hall of Fame hopeful

Andy Holloway

Co-founder and co-host

Mr. Holloway was present at the founding lunch break. He was chief operating officer of the studio, recorded the first episodes with Mr. Wright, and later converted one of his children's bedrooms into the show's first studio. He runs the website, the content and the finances.

His voice crack, delivered on returning from illness, was voted Show Moment of the Year by the listeners. His best FantasyPros finish is fifth in in-season accuracy, 2018. The Committee finds the file promising and will revisit it when the Chair has time.

The Mike Wright Ring of Honor

Established to recognize those whose contributions have been significant, memorable, and—following exhaustive review—not quite Hall of Fame worthy.

Ring of Honor · Member No. 1

Mike “The Fantasy Hitman” Wright

Co-founder, co-host, audio engineer

Mr. Wright was the audio engineer at the studio where the show began and turned on the microphone for the very first lunch-break episode. He edits the audio and runs the community. He describes the company as “the tiny little speedboat.” He was named People's Choice Analyst of the Year in 2019.

Following extensive review, the Committee determined that Mr. Wright's contributions meet the institution's standards for permanent recognition, though not those required for enshrinement. He was also nominated, in 2025, for the nickname “DK MIKEcalf.”

Jay Griz

A seven-foot cardboard grizzly bear who fills in when a host is absent. Two-time Footie Award winner for Guest Host of the Year (2017, 2018). In 2018 the official ballot listed him three times as the entire field of nominees.

Cardboard bear extraordinaire

Jay Griz

Substitute host, 2017–present

Jay Griz holds the distinction of being the only Footie Award winner in a category he never faced competition in. He maintains his own social media presence, which at last public count exceeded thirty thousand followers, and has appeared on the video edition of the show in a hosting capacity.

The Committee notes that Mr. Griz has won more Footie Awards than any current host of the podcast, and has elected not to draw further conclusions.

Deucers Alley

The hosts open nearly every show “joined as always by the Deucers over there in Deucers Alley, deucing it up.” These are the members of staff who are actually spoken to on the air, and the names they are spoken to by. The institution records them under those names, because nobody else uses the real ones either.

Executive Producer

Owl Borland

Jeremy Grantham

Named for Al Borland of Home Improvement. Runs the room, and by the hosts' own account does most of the work. The Alley's resident Packers fan, consulted from his seat whenever Green Bay does something, and once nominated for Show Moment of the Year for dunking on the Ballers after the Packers beat the Cardinals.

Content Operations

Judge Giamatti

Brooks Carmean

Presided over The Fantasy Court in 2017, in which Mr. Holloway and Mr. Moore argued as plaintiff and defendant and the Judge ruled. Operator of the soundboard in the show's early years. The subject of “Brooks Wealth Jokes,” a 2020 nominee for Show Moment of the Year, the details of which the institution does not have and would very much like.

Director of Member Experience

Papa Josh

Josh Liebmann

Runs the Foot Clan Discord and the membership. Frequently the target of insults from the Falcon, who is otherwise reluctant to speak. Referred to on air, with affection, as the bald man.

Content Manager / Editor in Chief

Borg

Kyle Borgognoni · also “Kyborg”

Editor in chief of the written operation and one half of “Borg & Betz.” Appeared in the 2024 mock draft as a floating head. The Committee has been told his name is pronounced a number of ways and has elected to print the short one.

Lead Writer / Injuries

Betz

Matthew Betz

The show's injury authority and the other half of “Borg & Betz.” Co-host of the Dynasty Show alongside the three principals and Borg. Known on air by surname alone, which the Committee considers a form of nickname.

The Falcon

Real name not established

Reads listener questions when named Deucer of the Day. Described on air as smirking. Appeared in the 2024 mock draft with a toilet for an avatar. Nominated twice for Show Moment of the Year in 2025, once for a mailbag drop and once for putting Falcon food on the company card. Speaks freely only when insulting Papa Josh.

Institutional practice

Deucer of the Day

A daily honor, conferred by the hosts, accepted without ceremony

Each show, one member of the Alley is named Deucer of the Day and asked to read a listener's question aloud. The honor carries no trophy, no stipend and no right of refusal. Deucers are also pressed into service to fill mock-draft slots, supply thumbs-up or thumbs-down reactions, and absorb whatever Mr. Holloway has promised not to say about them.

The institution is aware of reports of a further trophy circulated among the Deucers, awarded for conduct during the broadcast that cannot be described on a plaque. Its name and its winners are under investigation.

The Footie Awards gallery

Every Footie on Record

The podcast's annual, listener-voted awards, presented each January since the 2015 season. This gallery holds every category, winner, nominee and vote share the institution's researchers could document from the show's own articles, ballots and episodes.

2025 Footies

Vote shares were read aloud on the winners episodes and are recorded where they were spoken. Entries marked “transcript” were recovered from episode audio; spellings were checked by hand. Entries marked “uncertain” are awaiting verification by the Committee. Nickname of the Year ballots allow three selections, so those shares can exceed one hundred percent in total.

The Lunch Break

In 2014, at Broken Bulb Game Studios in Scottsdale, the audio engineer and the chief operating officer began recording a podcast during lunch to trash-talk their office fantasy league. The co-owner joined in 2015. All three went full-time that August, at five episodes a week.

Period room

The First Studio

A converted bedroom belonging to one of Mr. Holloway's children. The show recorded there until January 2017, when it moved to a studio in Phoenix. For the better part of a decade the operating plan was, in the hosts' words, “Okay, we've got another month.”

Instrument of justice

The Wheel of Water

A free mobile app, released by the show in 2015, that spins to decide how the loser of a wager will be drenched. It formalized the water bet, the institution's oldest and wettest tradition, and was accompanied by the hashtag #WheelOfWater.

The Rivers Interception

Mr. Moore lost a matchup to Mr. Holloway on a late Philip Rivers interception. His visible devastation was voted Show Moment of the Year by the listeners, under the title “Jason's Crushed Soul.” The recording is held in the archive and is not played for visitors under the age of twelve.

Show 1000

Broadcast on December 9, 2020, the thousandth episode included a stroll down memory lane and, at its close, a surprise appearance by the hosts' wives, which the listeners voted Show Moment of the Year.

Touring exhibition

Fantasy for the People, 2018

The show's first national tour: Minneapolis, Dallas, Philadelphia, Brooklyn and Phoenix. Of the Minneapolis stop Mr. Wright has said he was “on the verge of ugly crying.” An earlier live show in Minnesota, on Super Bowl weekend, sold out a room the hosts initially believed had far too many chairs.

The Voice Crack

Mr. Holloway returned from illness and his voice failed him on air. The listeners voted it Show Moment of the Year for the 2022 season, over the mailbag drop “Ya Fat!” and a segment analyzing the wrong player entirely. It is the institution's most important acoustic holding.

Induction Standards and Selection Criteria

Re: Eligibility, voting, and the distinction between enshrinement and lesser honors
  1. Eligibility. A candidate becomes eligible for consideration upon having hosted, produced, substituted for, or otherwise materially contributed to The Fantasy Footballers podcast. Cardboard candidates are eligible for special exhibition only.
  2. Composition of the Committee. The Committee consists of its Chair. The Chair is Jason Moore. Quorum is achieved when the Chair is present.
  3. Voting. Enshrinement requires a unanimous vote of the Committee. All votes to date have been unanimous.
  4. Enshrinement. The Hall of Fame is reserved for those whose contributions the Committee finds to be of the very highest order, as determined by the Committee, at its sole discretion, about itself.
  5. The Ring of Honor. The Ring of Honor recognizes contributions the Committee finds to be significant and memorable, though regrettably insufficient for enshrinement. Placement in the Ring of Honor is permanent, and is not a pathway to the Hall.
  6. Honorable Mention. The Committee may acknowledge a candidate's eligibility without reviewing his file. Such acknowledgment carries no rights, privileges, or timeline.
  7. Appeals. There is no appeals process. Correspondence on the subject of appeals will be filed in the Ring of Honor.
  8. Amendments. These standards may be amended by the Committee at any time, and the Committee expects to do so whenever it becomes convenient.

Future wing

The Foot Clan Wing

A wing reserved for the listeners, whose votes decide the Footies, whose leagues fill the Megalabowl, and without whom the institution would have nothing to preserve. The wing is under construction. The Committee is reviewing nominations, whether or not it has received any.
